Do I know you?
Kyle grew up in nearby Oxford and attended Notre Dame High School in West Haven where he was a member of the State Champion Swimming and Diving team.
Kyle has always been an active individual, but not always in the “traditional” sports. Kyle played rec league hockey as a child but has also raced snowboards, mountain bikes and most recently motorcycles. On the high school track team his event was pole vault, and on the swim team through high school and college he was a springboard diver, where he won the Northeast-10 Division 2 & 3 championships on 1 and 3 meter springboard.
After college, while searching for the next adventure Kyle and his wife, Jen, decided to try a local CrossFit gym for the first time. It was love at first WOD for both of them. Kyle loved the similarities to previous exploits where you are an individual athlete, performing on your own, but with the backing and support of a large team. With Kyle’s history of coaching high school divers, the Motorcycle Safety Course for the State of CT and advanced motorcycle techniques for a track day company, it wasn’t long before he decided to become an intern under Coach Tim. Kyle completed his Level 1 seminar in January of 2017 and looks forward to coaching the athletes at CFB. When asked why he wanted to be a CFB coach, Kyle said “I like to see others succeed. Knowing that my actions have contributed to that success is a great feeling”.
